Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office is denying a Times of Israel report that he will soften his opposition to a Palestinian state when he addresses the U.S. Congress in July. Meanwhile Turkish President Erdogan claims Netanyahu is “mentally ill,” and pledged his country’s support for Hezbollah in the event of war.
Another leak in a major abortion case at the U.S. Supreme Court has revealed that the high court will temporarily allow abortions in Idaho when a woman’s health is at risk. The ruling was published online briefly Wednesday before being removed.
And calm returned to Bolivia on Thursday after a failed military coup in the nation’s capital of La Paz. Troops led by a top general stormed the presidential palace, then quickly retreated after it became clear that the coup had no meaningful political support.
